Visit Björkborn and you enter the home of a well-to-do bachelor just over a hundred years ago. Visitors are met by a familiar profile, strangely reminiscent of a famous inventor. “Nobel" is an excellent host as he guides us around his former home.

The town of Örebro is the centre of the region. This is where we shop, have fun and recharge our batteries with long walks along the Svartån river, around which the town grew up. Örebro is easy to find but hard to leave.

Bergslagen gave Sweden a heart of iron in the Middle Ages. Blue mountains in the distance and tons of fun for children, with thriving communities with strong roots and iron in their veins, Bergslagen is nature, history and adventure all rolled into one.

The Bergslagen hiking trail, “Bergslagsleden", takes you through a wildly varying landscape from the gnarled boulders of Tiveden, via the rolling blue hills of Kilsbergen to Bergslagen´s mighty forests and small lakes.
